My name is Leanne and I am a licensed physical therapist assistant with extensive experience in acute care as well as outpatient care. I have worked with wound care, lymphedema, cardiac, respiratory, psychiatric, dialysis, brain injury and stroke patients over the past 30 years. Lymphedema and oncology in particular is one of my specialities.
I consider my areas of strength to be communication with patients/family members as well as proper defensive documentation. I also enjoy educating families, patients and therapy students. I am organized, a strong team member and a quick learner.
I am interested in the position of therapeutic reviewer as I feel that would be a good transition from a clinical position to a non clinical position. I am very passionate about giving my best to patients and being a strong advocate for their rehabilitation potential. I am an excellent teacher, having trained many students over my 30 years of clinical experience, I have strong documentation skills, and I have a variety of clinical knowledge which allows me to confidently review notes throughout the span of many setting.
