WORK EXPERIENCE:
SUMMARY
I had started my career in banking since 1985 and appointed in government bank as a Loan Officer and then promoted as a Section Chief and later on Division Chief of ADBL/N where I had worked both for mega and micro agricultural and non agricultural projects financing, fund management and training up to 2016. But, in my 30 years of career, I found that more than 80% loan enterprises were micro which was based on Agriculture production and processing. Usually, experts were followed group approach for community development as well as micro credit development program to success in Nepalese context. I was involved directly in micro credit management through Small Farmer Development Program (SFDP) program of ADBL for two years, micro credit training program for one year and for program transformation from SFDP to Small Farmer Cooperative Limited (SFCL) and after that in credit policy support level. I had played vital role in transformation program for the sustainability of program in long run. ADBL had valued my work higher and awarded upper level responsibilities. I had got responsibility of Section Chief of ADBL where developmental and banking branches and sub- branches were managed for over all better performances of credit management, training management. My worked was harder and achieved outstanding performance. Later, I had got responsibility of regional director of ADBL where all developmental and banking branches and sub- branches of particular corresponding region were monitored to achieve good performance.
Beside that parallel on off time of ADBL, I had also involved in Agricultural Research and Development through NGO since 2005 as a Research consultant. I had worked in Swiss research program for 2 years in Maize - legumes crops and white grubs control in Maize-Millet field in Mid-hills of Nepal. Australian development program for 1 year in high value crops like asparagus, tomato and mushroom and many other national development programs. I had got appreciation in seminar organized by donor. I had worked as part time college level teaching for one year in Agronomy as well as seed. I have lot of exposure about rice and maize research from IRRI. I could work in any adverse situation to complete my assignment.
Academically, I have studied agronomy from an international university named as University of Philippines Los Banos (UPLB) in support of ADB=JSP scholarship and my thesis was completed at International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) Philippines. I had study my project under the guidance of senior French Scientist Dr. Tangui Lafarge. I had studied about minimum water requirement by rice crops without reducing yield. Other principal cropping pattern of rice was adopted as SRI Rice. We adopted alternate wetting and drying irrigation practiced based on plant wilting and soil crack appear on field.
