& job costing codes), and processes to be utilized in a new accounting solution, helped create and perform management off-site, assembled and lead company through accounting software selection process with 6 potential packages, and provided daily IT support for company.
• Border International: Provided Business Intelligence reporting system development and support to drive reporting and assist in management making decisions. Management was so impressed with initial presentation, they insisted on implementing the new solution even though there was 2 years left on the existing solution’s contract.
Chief Information Officer Electronic Caregiver Inc., Las Cruces, NM 2018 - 2020 A ten-year-old startup that is aiming to redefine healthcare by developing solutions that meet the world’s healthcare needs with real-time remote monitoring and AI interaction.
• Managed the growth of the company from 60 employees at hire date to nearly 150. In the timeframe direct reports grew from the initial 3 to upwards of 40. The company saw year over year growth of 39% in 2018, 100% in 2019, and are projecting over 100% in 2020.
• In my tenor at ECG, our product offerings grew from a single emergency pendant, to a portfolio of six offerings ranging from Advanced Remote Patient Monitoring to an extensive pre-screening app to help Steve P. Eiserling 575-***-**** **********@*****.*** Page 2 large venues and their customers return safely from the isolation of COVID-19. Three of the new offerings were conceived and developed in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• Initially hired to resolve issues with the internal billing/commissions software within a six month timeframe. Directed and managed a team of three developers that provided the fixes and received acceptance criteria from all departments within two months. This resulted in improving billing and commissions generation from 85% incorrect the week prior to arrival, to over 99% correctly generated.
• Within the first six months, initiated an audit of all the company’s cloud service usage and, as a result, lowered the company’s cloud expenditures by 33%, while increasing security, availability, and visibility.
• The company had no internal IT support personnel or in-house IT expertise. Hired and trained an entire IT support Team, created IT policies & procedures, established vendor relations, implemented hybrid AD infrastructure, standardized the company on Microsoft Office 365, established the ECG-HQ.com domain with SSO, then migrated all users and services off the legacy LifeSupportMedical.com domain.
• There was no redundancy in the existing LAN or WAN infrastructure, so contracted with another broadband provider and established a true load-balanced with auto-failover infrastructure, while also implementing a true cybersecurity infrastructure and policies limiting the corporate network’s use to business only traffic.
• The company was not aware of HIPAA compliance and, upon being given the role of HIPAA Security Officer, I created corporate HIPAA policies and performed an audit to find that many measures had to be implemented to achieve compliance. Contracted physical badge-based and video security measures installed along with a complete rewrite of many of their applications, which was also put in charge of managing.
• Migrated the company from multiple smaller providers to RingCentral to provide better control and reporting as well as lowering cost of telephony services provided.
• Successfully designed and implemented an expansion of the customer support / warehouse team and created a functional facility in an available building next to the headquarters, with all the new building infrastructure, IT/telecom infrastructure, physical security, and cybersecurity measures employed correctly.
