KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk Assessments and Security Inspections

Ensuring compliance as per the Organization Risk Management standards and all local safety & security laws/regulations consistently via a regular series of audits, follow-up, education, training, and reports.

Leading the internal and external safety & security team to implement safety & security routines and to better support the business operation.

Conduct Safety Risk Assessments for Existing & Proposed Sites.

Conducting Annual Safety, Self Audits, and periodic inspection of premises.

Assist business in raising Policy Exceptions as required; conduct assessments to ensure risks associated with the exceptions have been addressed adequately.

Ensure risk-free working zone by taking effective safety majors.

Ensure routine check of all the equipment and accessories and coordinate with the concerned department to maintain the safety condition.

Inspect the functional effectiveness of the hydrants, Monitors, Sprinkles, and extinguishers.

Initiate and monitor internal & external incidents/accidents and provide response, investigation, and reporting of all emergencies.

Security Operations and Project Management

Coordinate the appointment of Business Strategy Advice Services (BSAs) by the business.

Support Project Management of Fire Safety Systems ensuring delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire safety equipment.

Conduct Security related investigations and make incident report statements.

Ensure appropriate and timely entry of incidents and reports into Perspective.

Ensure that security equipment (e.g., CCTV, card access, alarms, etc.) is functional and properly maintained.

Direct Business on Security-related administration & assist in conducting Security self-audit and maintenance of files.

Update and Maintain Safety Systems Documentation and Inventory List.

Management of access control for sites under management.

Working knowledge in Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems.

Work closely with departmental Heads to mitigate NCs.

Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.

Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.

Coordinating for safety reports, permits, communications and safety self-assessments, etc.

Fire Safety Operations and Project Management

Coordinate appointment of Safety Officers & Fire Wardens for the business.

Support Project Management of Fire Safety Systems ensuring delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of fire safety equipment.

Conduct a periodical safety drill.

Conduct Safety-related investigations and make incident report statements.

Direct Safety officers & Fire Wardens on Fire Safety related administration.

Ensure appropriate and timely entry of incidents and reports to management.

Update and Maintain Fire Safety Evacuation Plans.

Leading the team to coordinate all fire safety equipment and activities, organize fire drills as required.

Working with all the business functions to implement loss prevention routines.

Reviewing Safety & Security budget and manage the security service contract annually.

Develop internal Safety and Security co-workers within other departments.

Emergency Plans

Respond to Incidents, Emergencies, and Alarms and Manage the Security and Safety Responses.

Ensure that all security personnel is trained to respond appropriately to emergencies.

Participate in the planning, exercise, or execution of the emergency plan as necessary.

Preparation of Fire evacuation plan and give evacuation training.

Develop crisis management plan and ensure effectiveness through training and audits.

Audit, Compliance, and Control

Act as Department Compliance Officer to ensure compliance of the unit to various Compliance Policies.

Provide Audit support for business for security-related matters.

Investigate accidents or incidents to ensure Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA).

Preparation and enforce processes & policies to establish a culture of health and safety.

Monitor compliance with policies and laws by inspecting the safety of employees and operations.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA etc.)

Develop processes and systems to monitor Lost Time Accident [LTA], Major and Minor Accidents, and implement systems to control and prevent such occurrences.

HSE Auditing Techniques.

Developing, planning, and monitoring all internal and external Fire and Security related systems.

Training

Ensure training of Safety Officers, Fire Wardens, Business Employees, Security Personnel & New Joiners.

Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.

Developing, Conducting, and coordinating the training of associates in the area of occupational health, safety & security.

Evaluating, implementing, and maintaining PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in place.

Forming the Health & Safety Committee and coordinate and having monthly meetings for taking updates about Health, Safety & Security.

Liaison

Liaisoning with Police, Safety, Fire Services, fraud agencies, insurance companies & Law enforcement Authorities.

Safety, Security, Environmental vendors & agencies.

Health Checkup & Medical Agencies.

Court Cases.

Coordinating insurance programs and handling claims.

Budget

Managing all the administrative and official activities and adhering to Safety Budgets.

Vendor and Contract Management

Monitor Safety personnel.

Ensure Safety personal are adequately trained and meet quality specified in the Policy, SOP, and contract document.

Conduct spot checks on safety personnel and safety system vendors to ensure performance.

Ensure other safety-related vendors comply with safety operating procedures or policies.

Support the area safety manager in sourcing cost-effective safety systems and services solutions to reduce expenses.

Provide inputs on safety vendor performance for vendor selection and contract.
