This project was sponsored by ECOPETROL SA (Colombian Petroleum Company) and currently is the model used to evaluate this method under different scenarios, risks and uncertainties into the ECOPETROL Fields in Colombia. 3. The project was sponsored by La Empresa Colombiana de Gas ECOGAS (Gas Colombian Company) along with the Gas Research Center (CIG: Centro de Investigación del Gas (in Spanish)), achieving an objective implemented nowadays in The Ballena Plant with very good results. Senior Reservoir Surveillance and Monitoring Engineer, Apr. 2015 to Current

• Support the reservoir strategy to maintain the sustainable production for Thamama reservoirs, achieving the target expected by shareholders, foreseeing, evaluating and mitigating operational risks and uncertainties.

• Coordinate BuHasa Reservoir Team to implement IRM (Integrated Reservoir Management) framework as a methodology, strategy and dynamic tool for following up, development of a better reservoir understanding and detecting enhancement opportunities. This was awarded as a milestone by headquarter and implemented in all branches.

• Evaluate the project continuity of different plateau scenarios through water injection into the oil pool as pressure support and secondary recovery method (and miscible gas as a tertiary recovery method) focused on achieving the highest recovery factor expected, through the proposal of new strategies implemented into the Field Development Plan

(new technologies applications and new scheme of production/injection fluids).

• Design and follow up of strategies to monitor the reservoirs, harnessing all the available data and optimizing the resources and new requirements for this aim, without jeopardizing the operation continuity and the volumetric targets, honoring the reservoir management and shareholders guidelines, and achieving the production commitment.

• Budget optimization and economical assessments (CAPEX/OPEX) for scenarios with their contingency plans, aligned with corporate strategy, being highlighted here the FDP (Field development Plan), the continuous adjusted 5-Years BP

• Implementation in Buhasa Field of the MFR (Major Field Review) and the IRM (Integrated Reservoir Management) methodologies to raise ADNOC processes to high international standards of the Oil & Gas industry.

• Significant CAPEX/OPEX optimization by implementing the PEI (Production Efficiency Improvement) project in Buhasa Field (UAE) focused on bottleneck identification to optimize FSOPR (Field Sustainable Oil Production Rate), enhance the FDP (Field Development Plan) and improve the whole system efficiency.

• Audit and Reserves (SEC) estimating through decline curve analysis and economical evaluations, plus further support given by well/reservoir modeling (integration of performance analysis with G&G and PTA interpretation).

• Implementation of multilateral wells technology in Castilla Field to improve the drainage area by contacting different layers simultaneously and increasing the recovery factor reaching bypassed oil. 3) ECOPETROL S.A. – Villavicencio, Colombia

• Involved in the follow-up of root cause failure analysis, identifying the underlying issues behind the artificial lift systems, being detected, and allowing the development of some enhancements by the providers at structure level and material selections during facing sand issues and lifting of extra-heavy oil, which also was reflected in proper preventive maintenance with a good reduction in OPEX for the Company.

• Achieve successfully the production target by optimizing ESP (Electro Submersible Pumps) systems, based on meticulous statistical monitoring through the methodology named “Run Life and Mean Time Before Failure (MTBF)”.

• Measurement and quality check of treatment and fluids disposition with government regulations into the batteries. Key Achievements in ECOPETROL SA:

• Maximize the profitability in terms of production in Castilla Field (Colombia) through an implemented task force that included new technologies application (intelligent completions) and a large number of work-over and drilling opportunities (multilateral wells).

• Exceptional production increase (4 folds) through a re-development of 2 brown fields (Yarigui-Cantagallo and Casabe in Colombia) using selective production/injection technology and waterflooding implementation.

• Discovering of 1 small new field (Casabe Sur) and reactivation of 2 abandoned fields (Garzas & Peñas Blancas) in Colombia through appraisal wells along the Middle Magdalena Basin, where I acted as a reservoir engineer of the identifying and planning team.

• Generation of the initial simulation model used to evaluate CO2 injection as a pilot at Cardales Field (Colombia).

• Successfully production target achieved and optimizations of ESP (Electro Submersible Pumps) performance in Apay- Suria-Reforma-Libertad Fields (Colombia) based on meticulous statistical monitoring through the methodology named
