DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain Safety Management System and Company Policy
Assist with risk identification, evaluation, and development of Safe Working Procedures (SOP) and Plan Task Observations (PTO)
Conduct a Risk Register to identified hazard and to take the necessary corrective action.
Ensure all accidents are properly recorded, reported, and investigated to determine what was the Root cause of accident to provide recommendations that can help prevent future accidents.
Ensure Health and Safety Representatives are appointed and trained
Ensure Health and Safety Representatives conduct monthly inspections and submit the required reports.
Ensure Contractors comply with the Health and Safety Specifications.
Where it is not possible to remove any remaining hazards, you are to inform employees thereof and what precautionary action is to be taken.
Ensure appropriate restoration of areas affected by construction.
Identified develop appropriate training programs and deliver training to employees
Detail mitigating measures required to be taken, and the procedures for their implementation to the Manager.
Establish the reporting system to be undertaken during construction and ensure effective reporting to management on the deviations identified and required action to be taken.
Ensure monthly Safety, Health and Environmental reports are submitted to the Project Manager.
Ensure training needs are identified and implemented.
Provide Safety control Information on an on-going basis to employees in their areas of Jurisdiction
To participate in and co-ordinate all in house and inspector investigations regarding accident, incidents, and illnesses and to maintain records in that respect.
Detail mitigating measures required to be taken, and the procedures for their implementation to the Manager
Assist with HSE budget and maintain it
Weekly workplaces inspection and monthly internal audit conducted
