JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, organize, and control the operation of a cocktail lounge or bar.
Mixes and services alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patron of bar, following standard recipes: Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serves wine and drought or bottled beer.
Order or requisitions liquors and supplies. Requisition slip must be submitted to the purchase department where in the closing balance has to be mentioned.
Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
Plan and present bar menu
Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
Ability to Sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.
Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.
May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drink.
Responsible to maintain and keep clean glassware, machinery and bar equipment and also to keep bar arrears and bar top clean.
Supervise the work of bar staff and other bartenders.
Responsible for proper opening and closing of the bar.
Responsibility to keep all the bar equipment beverages, liquor under lock and key on closure.
Responsible that no complaints are received or excuse are given to guest. .
