ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Ensuring full compliance of Company’s and Client’s Health & Safety Policy on the Project.

To advise on the provision a safe working environment for employees by adhering to the Company’s safety standards and procedures.

Assist in the development of the Project Health and Safety Plan, Environment Plan and monitor for its effective compliance.

Work with Project Manager to ensure that adequate safety advice and resources can be provided to their area of responsibility.

Closely monitor site activities on daily basis, issuing non-compliance and submit reports to the projects Leader.

Advice and support management at all levels on Health, Safety & Environmental issues.

Conducting and participating in Project Safety Meeting.

Ensure that Method statement / Risk Assessment and task specific risk assessment is carried out.

Monitor and Report on the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures within the Company in relation to all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, standards and codes.

Ensure that accidents / incident investigation is properly carried out, update on the impact caused, carry out trend analysis and advise Project Leader on short falls.

Encourage project / site management to produce ‘Near miss’ reports and advice management for improvement.

Provide monthly health and safety reports at meetings. Coordinates collection and analysis of data and reports necessary for meeting.

Maintain the health and safety information and recording system relevant where safety information is readily accessible.

Identify safety-training needs and ensure that corporate training is delivered, maintain up-to-date records and monitor for trends.

Assist to prepare “Fire and emergency plan” and coordinate for its implementation.

Ensure that permit to work and a COSHH assessment is effectively carried out at workplace.

Carry out an audit to measure subcontractor’s performance every 4 months.
