Responsibilities

I worked as a CNC MACHINIST [LATHE] at first, my superior gives me a drawings and tool list I study the drawing thoroughly. I transfer the program from diskette to machine. Then I open the particular component program. Then I decide myself to select what tool for the particular machining operation. Then I set the tool in the machine turret in sequence machining operation then I fix the raw material in the chuck or fixture. Then I take necessary tool offset for each tool. Then I take tryout for one or two components if the machined components ore as per the drawing measurements. If I find any problem in any one of the machining operation, again I do the offset correction and again run the machine until the component is satisfied. Then I release the component and measure the dimension. Later I send the component to quality control department for their approval. Finally, I handover the machine to a operator after the quality control department’s approval. In additional to this for a respective job given I also do programming in CNC machines.
