Headed the location having 9 no. Fermentors each of 50 KL capacity.

Dealing with outside agencies like Liasioning with Govt. agencies, relationship with nearby industries & localities etc..

Attainments:

New product ( Rifamycin- O produced with Fermentation process ) got established & given its yield more than expected. Not even a single batch failed in quality.

Solvent recoveries improved by about 3 % by tightening some parameters.

Water consumption reduced by 100KLD.

Monitoring performance of the plant functions including preventive & breakdown maintenance of plant equipment such as Scrubbers, AHUs, Distillation Units & other utilities

Planning & executing process improvement initiatives; implementing value analysis and value engineering initiatives for standardization and reduce costs

Eliminating wastages & losses through ISO, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and GMP/GLP regulations.

Establishing process related SOPs; ensuring correct introduction of procedures for revised or new processes

oOutside incineration of hazardous wastes got done & not only reduced incineration cost by 40% but also reduced environmental load.

oSA ( Sulphated ash ) in Cefdinir ( new molecule ) was coming more than specification. Taken certain corrective actions & brought within the standard limit.

oA notice from CPCB ( Central Pollution Control Board-Delhi ) to Sun Pharma location at Paonta Sahib ordering them to close down the plant or pay 75 Lac as penalty on failure of effluent sample got revoked.

oAlso headed PDL ( Process Development Labortary ) along with big production modules for about ten years & solved many problems related to quality & yield.

oHaving experience of Enzymetic reaction & fermentation process. Run nine no. of Fermenters each of 50 KL capacity ..
