Duties included but not limited to the detailed inspection of external and internal parts of the V2500, F117, V2000 and gear turbo fan Pratt & Whitney engines to include the intricate use of aircraft engine manuals, IPB’s, customer approved maintenance procedures (CAMP), blueprints, schematic’s/diagrams and FAA publications, Services bulletins (SB’s), Airworthiness directives (AD’s) and other pertinent data relative to inspection criteria of engine type and model.

08/2016 - 12/2016 AAR Aircraft Services (Aircraft Inspector)

Essential duties and responsibilities included but not limited were to determine that no defective, unserviceable, or un-airworthy parts were installed in any component or articles released by the repair station. Insured that all tech data are kept secure and are current with all latest revisions. Insured that all pertinent FAR’s, specification, type certificate data sheets and AD’s applicable to the inspection of the aircraft and related systems meet FAA guide lines. Identify probable stress areas; determine the requirement of x-ray, number of radiographs and pictures needed; orientation of equipment, relative exposure time, tube to film distances, filters and screen needed; film type, film placement and power use. When using x-ray equipment determine hazardous area for personnel based on exposure factors and time of exposure, determine proper barrier placements. Experience include the use of penetrameters, radioisotope, radio graphic film, shims, calibration blocks, couplants, industrial radio graphic machines, dosimeters/ survey meters, radiographic inspection of castings and proper handling of ionizing radiation.
