Programs Coordination:
I consider my experience as a Lecturer, Head of Department, Research Chairperson and Quality Assurance Chairperson, for Department of Community Development at University of Hebron. Lecturer and Research and Project Coordinator in School of Social Work at DMI St John the Baptist University, a Project Support Officer for 4 years with Concern Worldwide, a United Nation, World Food Program (FFA a UN Funded project) and Graduation Model Program. Having worked in academia and International Organization.
I have 14 years of work experience in academia and working with various organizations, and I have been a member of management team, through which I have gained a broader understanding, skills and experience of business management, strategic management of diverse projects, social protection and financial management. I also have a track record in Research Methodologies, Monitoring and evaluation, Human Resources, Psychology, Entrepreneurship and Community Development.
I have strong interpersonal and analytical skills with an acknowledged ability to communicate, understand internal and external client’s requirement, a visionary leader with a passion, optimism and an entrepreneurial personality.
Proposal Development:
I have exceptional experience and skills in concept and proposal development for donor funding using my in-depth understanding of local and international development issues, and my skills in aligning issues and strategies to global and national development frameworks such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Malawi Growth and Development Strategy III (MGDS III), and sector development policies such as the 2017-2021 Health Strategic Plan, and others.
I am also well versed with major national socio-economic issues from the 3 priority areas in the MGDS III, of; (i) Health & population, (ii) Education & skills development, (iii) Agriculture, water development & climate change, which need complementary efforts from NGO projects. This knowledge is very critical for development of winning proposals.
Effective Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation:
I have vast experience and skills in leading and directing the planning, monitoring and evaluation functions of projects and organizations in designing of log frames, effective data collection tools and development of measurable targets and indicators.
I have also assisted organizations in consolidating master work plans for all projects being implemented, which are further broken down to quarterly and monthly activity plans.
Furthermore, I have vast experience in producing and submission of high quality progress reports to donors in accordance to their reporting requirements. I’m also very good in planning, organizing and leading in technical monthly, quarterly and annual review and planning meetings for projects and organizations.
Financial Management:
In liaison with the accountant, I formulate annual budgets and submit fund requisition and utilization templates to the donor, and ensure that timely fund liquidations are submitted to the donor as required.
I also have experience in ensuring that financial management standards are followed in all project expenditures which includes adherence to proper procurement procedures, effective internal controls, and ensuring allowable and reasonable expenditures.
Effective Staff Management:
I have very important skills in staff management in the areas of supervision, mentoring, coaching and development of relevant performance improvement plans. I’m also skilled in development of participatory performance appraisal systems.
