Summary
Experience with CAD/CAM systems, CNC machinery, and Steel Mill Service
Experience
FABCO MACHINE AND ENGINEERING - DECEMBER 2015 - CURRENT
Steel Mill Customer Service Manager - Job duties include working with area steel mill personnel to ensure they receive their goods at the highest quality and at the earliest possible delivery time. I also address any changes to current parts and have helped in the development of new parts. Also included in my duties are programming all Laser burned parts using Radan Software, and at times running the Omax Water Jet, programming those parts as well. Duties also include drafting, in which I use Autocad, Fusion 360 and Pro Engineer.
Nucor Yamato Steel - October 2005 - September 2015
CNC Lathe Operator - Job duties included turning all rolls in the steel making process and checking their profiles to within .004 to .008 of an inch. I also used and maintained an inventory of templates, took inventory of both dressed and undressed rolls, and interacted with the CAM operator to insure we had the most efficient toolpaths.
Nucor Yamato Steel - October 1994 - October 2005
CAD/CAM Operator - Job duties included drafting all roll profiles and aiding in their design as well as drafting and design of all rolling guides. During this time I incorporated a new machining process in the manufacturing of the guides. They were originally made out of cast iron, a process which took six to eight weeks. I moved us to a machining process out of our own beam blanks. This reduced the time from 6-8 weeks for a set of guides to approximately one week allowing us to move production of new beam sections forward. I used Cadkey (Keycreator) as the CAD software and Mastercam as the CAM software.
