Duties & Responsibilities

Performs general carpentry work in maintenance, construction, alteration and repair of

wood and wood substitute items and structures such as cabinets, bookcases, drawers,

partitions, panels, and building structures.

Installs, repairs, and replaces doors, door hardware, and locks.

Installs, repairs, and replaces windows and window hardware.

Installs special activity floor, floor coverings, floor partitions or bulletin boards.

Builds shelving, toolboxes, and map and picture frames; repairs office furniture. Hangs

pictures in offices.

Operates equipment such as skill saw, table saw, band saw drill press, jigsaw, tractor,

cutting torch, etc. Operates various equipment in general maintenance.

Covers tables and desks with various protective coverings.

Installs and repairs ceilings.

Hangs vinyl wallpaper, and installs doorframes.

Assists in various general maintenance projects.

Other duties as assigned.
