Provided comprehensive and effective materiel management support to the Shop Service Center (SSC).
The SSC supports maintenance production areas responsible for manufacture, repair, overhaul, and/or modification of complex weapon systems and/or weapon system spare parts.
Coordinated production materiel requirements, and control the release of critical assets to supported customers.
Managed the SSC awaiting parts (AWP) Program. Ensured critical assets are on order and links asset requisitions to the frustrated weapon system component (end item).
Also ordered required spares from other non-Department of Defense (DOD) sources when traditional DOD sources fail to support requirements.
Monitored repair priorities. Ensured all locally purchased assets meet all required Air Force Specifications.

Managed stocks are comprised of a wide variety of commodities such as raw materials, complex electronic components, critical aircraft spares, and piece parts. Stock levels may be basic stock levels, adjusted stock levels, or special requirement levels (e.g., Floating Stocks/Spares). Used sound judgment to build or recommend the best range and depth of stock based on known requirements and anticipated demands.
Managed readiness base leveling allocations of shop replacement units used by supported maintenance shops. Coordinates allocation changes with the appropriate item manager.
Thoroughly reviewed material support posture of items needed to maintain production, developing appropriate levels of stock to ensure maximum supply support effectiveness.
Assessed the validity of material requirements received and promptly determines the level of support that can be provided; assures that long-range planning is accomplished and that timely actions are initiated to preposition material for continuing support of assigned SSC.

Inventory Management Specialist, GS
As an inventory manager, I am responsible for managing munitions in accordance with Standard Army Ammunition Systems Modernized (SAAS-MOD) which is the automated data information system for most of all the CalGuard conventional ammunition & Class V missile inventory.
This provides inventory management for ammunitions for most of the California Army National Guard which has around 17,000 guards men. Maintain technical ammunition files on munitions data, catalog data & stock fund items in the supply system.
I do have knowledge of the inter-relationships between supply management, distribution and various automated system, for example NLAC, TAMIS-R and of course SAAS-MOD.
