Major accomplishments

• Introduced concepts of Commodity Strategy and Strategic Sourcing in the purchasing area, achieving or surpassing by 3% the yearly favorable Piece Price Variance.

• Re-structured the Supply Chain focus from “on-time delivery” to an “On-time-in-full” delivery, improving KPI performance from 83% to 94%.

• Created NPI buyer function significantly improving Supply Chain’s overall launch performance.

• Drove line shortages to “zero” over repeated periods of 6 weeks or more using continuous improvement methodology and root cause analysis effectively reducing overtime and expedites.

• Incorporated the Master Scheduling function and established S&OP reviews to level supply-demand and reduced inventories, expedites and overtime, while improving delivery performance.

• In-sourced the Traffic & Customs Compliance functions from a 3rd Party “Maquila Shelter”, resulting in full compliance and cost reduction of over $85K usd/yr.

• Introduced Kanban’s at the facility and at vendors through Vendor Managed Inventory deliveries on production materials. Introduced standard packs and MOQ’s for critical premium products.

• Introduced Long Term Partnership agreements with the “liner/thermoforming” commodity to warrant a minimum 6% price reduction.

• Led the Site-Wide Escobedo Transformation Project which brought over $6.5MM USD in savings in lease reductions/optimizations, transportation/logistics efficiencies and indirect labor reductions.
