Duties Responsibilities :

Helping the maintenance dept. in various electrical works i.e. cable termination from engine mounted panels to module control panels and from different peripheries e.g. servomotor, cooling water pumps, intake and exhaust air fan connection and testing from MCC etc.

Signaling cable termination from VCB’s and testing of VCB’s. Power cable laying through cable trays from alternators to VCB room and then to the power transformers.

Helping the GE engineers during engine commissioning e.g. lube oil filling, cooling water filling (engine & radiator side), battery electrolyte filling, radiator fan order marking etc.

Helping the SIEMENS engineers during the erection and commissioning of substation

e.g. installing CT’s & PT’s, installing SF6 circuit breaker, erection of overhead and underground transmission lines.

Helping the Mechanical dept. during intake air duct and fan setup, exhaust air duct and fan setup, engine exhaust pipe setup, insulation of exhaust pipe, setup of gas train etc.

ELECTRICAL & OPERATION :

Operating the GE Mark 6 ( 270 MW) Engine.

Steam Turbine Operation (210 MW) ABB Symphony Plus DCS System.

Operating the auxiliary systems i.e. Air Intake fans (system air 11 KW) & Exhaust fans (system air 5.5 KW) from MCC (Motor Controlling Centre).

Operating Vacuum Circuit Breakers (SIEMENS 3AH5 ).

Operating 2 sets of SIEMENS 65/75 MVA (OLTC) power transformers (230KV/11KV) and related Isolators and SF6 circuit breakers(SIEMENS 3AP1FG ) situated in the substation. Also operating 2 sets of auxiliary transformers(400V/11KV) (Charoenchai2500 KVA).

Operating the 28 MMCFD gas remote metering station from 150 psig to 70 psig supplied by RMG Messtechnik, Honeywell.

Operating the Gas Chromatograph (RMG GC 9000 VC), Ultrasonic flow meter (US Z08) and flow computer (ERZ 2104) to continuously check the gas data to maintain the gas pressure

DOCUMENTATION & MANAGEMENT:

Taking various data of engines and alternators e.g. Fuel mixture pressure, throttle valve position, lube oil temp. & pressure, cooling water temp. & pressure, exhaust gas temp., Alternator winding temp., bearing temp., voltage, current, frequency, power factor, speed etc.

Taking data of Fuel Gas in the RMS (Remote Metering Station) e.g. Inlet pressure, condensation level, Vent Mist Eliminator level, Carrier gas, Int. calibration, Ext. test gas etc.

Taking data from energy meter. Properly assemble and arrange the taken data for processing.

Processing the taken data for helping the Shift Charge Engineer to make documents like daily production, total fuel gas consumption, energy delivered per engine, total outage etc..

Communicate with NLDC, TITAS TBS (Town Border Station) and Ghorashal substation for giving and taking information.

Helping shift charge for making shift reports which is handed over to the following shift.Observing the works of maintenance department & helping them when necessary.
