MEG Energy, Christina Lake Project (phase 2B). Detailed engineering for process plants expansion to add (35,000 bpcd) capacity, raising overall capacity to (90,000 bpcd).

Area lead for oil inlet separation, water treatment, mechanical vapour compressor unit and sulphur removal plant.

Assigned at site as the Deputy Technical Lead for the Well Pads (42 well pairs), Oil Separation, Water Treatment, Cogeneration (An 85 MW (nominal) gas turbine installed (simultaneously producing steam and electricity)), Utilities and Tank Farm area construction support, start up and commissioning

Key Contributions:

Supervised the development of P&ID’s, LDT’s, ISO’s, and major engineering deliverables.

Collaborated with project engineers for successful completion of engineering details phase estimate, reviews on process units HAZOP, constructability, and 3D model reviews.

Compiled engineering deliverables for issuing engineering work packages for construction.

Reviewed pressure test packages at work site, assisted in formulating assessment reports.

Suncor Energy, Utilities and Of site Plant for Voyageur Oil Sands Upgrader Project. Greenfield Upgrader project to produce 250,000 bpcd of synthetic Crude Oil (Utilities scope valued at $2.2 billion).

Supervised blast assessment study and hydraulic transient analysis service contracts to determine excessive transient pressure in underground piping for plant safety.

Managed piping Heat Tracing and mechanical equipment Cathodic Protection design packages

Managed designed and constructed raw water pond system/fire water pump house in line with client requirements.

Composed project close out plans and prepared reports on process units’ safe mode, that included procurement/material status for project shut down team.

Submitted Alberta Boiler Safety Association application package for plant registration.

Suncor Energy, Millennium Coker Unit Project - $3.6-billion joint venture project with Bantrel and other engineering firms including Bechtel, increased Suncor’s synthetic crude production by approx. 100,000 bpcd

Assisting Area Managers in the detailed design phase and close out of the: Flare, FG/NG, Steam Condensate and Nitrogen plants

Additional experience as Field Engineer at Ensign Drilling, Project Engineer at Linamar Industries, Maintenance Engineer at Dubai Municipality, & Mechanical Design Engineer (Saudi Aramco projects) at SCEC.
