WORK EXPERIENCE
Associate Director–Design, KPMG LLP, 2008-2020. Creative direction, on-line/off-line art direction and design, oversight and management of the brand visual identity. Creative lead on over 850 projects including digital and print advertising, print collateral, direct response programs. Managed a digital design team consisting of in-house designers and off-shore producer/developers. Implemented solutions to enhance efficiency and collaboration. Developed processes for working with outsourced design services.
• Creative lead on concept development for the product launch of KPMG Spark, an on- line accounting and bookkeeping service for small and medium-sized businesses. The multi-channel advertising campaign included deliverables such as digital and print advertising, social media, etc. Achieved 50K leads with a 20% conversion rate, reaching its $20M revenue goal in just a few months.
• Co-lead on concept and creative development for KPMG’s COVID-19 awareness campaign which included a multi-targeted, phased-in approach to display advertising, social media, web, etc. Display advertising contributed to 145K+ unique visitors to the website, which translated to a 36.6% engagement rate and a 30.8% repeat visitor rate, far exceeding benchmarks of 16% and 15%, respectively. Further, over 90% of visitors from the ads are net new to the website indicating success of the advertising campaign.
• Led creative output for KPMG Sports Marketing’s golf sponsorship programs involving the firm’s brand ambassadors—Phil Mickelson, Stacey Lewis, Mariah Stackhouse and Maverick McNeally. Advertising ran in magazines, newspapers, on-line, at PGA tournaments, airports and various local placements, resulting in millions of impressions for KPMG. Year one resulted in a 20% increase in brand awareness, and maintained the same in year two while holding 37% of the market share among the competition.
• Co-lead on development and deployment of KPMG interactive advertising toolkit aimed towards community- and citizenship-type advertising needs. The year-long project resulted in the creation of over 140 ads as well as an intuitive, interactive interface enabling easy selection, customization and ordering process. Initially introduced to entire 350+ person marketing department via an on-line training session, and now available for use to entire US firm of over 29,000 employees in 90 offices. Toolkit allows any employee to create quick, cost-effective digital or print advertising for sponsorships, recognition, events and social initiatives.
• Developed new advertising construct for KPMG-US brand advertising resulting in increased visibility and consistent delivery of messaging. Initially launched to marketing leadership team, then to entire marketing department via webcast training. Co-creative lead for concept development on virtually all KPMG brand advertising including: print, digital, social media, OOH, trade show and conference materials, etc.
• Managed and provided creative direction for in-house design and production teams, as well as a virtual team of vendors and freelancers. Deliverables included print and digital advertising, social media, collateral, thought leadership, video, e-communications, infographics, conference/tradeshow materials, etc. Also responsible for brand management of KPMG’s visual identity through brand QA reviews, training and oversight of internal and external design teams. Provided guidance and training to ensure quality, consistency and brand-compliance.
