Sr. Business Analyst

Barnes and Nobles is the largest bookstore retail chain with a strong supply chain network in the US. Worked as Business Analyst on their e-commerce Point of Sale (POS) application of Retailing Business accessed through their website. The online bookstore enabled potential customers to execute: simple Searches (using Title, Author, etc.), and Advanced Searches (using Title, Author (Last & First names), ISBN, etc.) helping them decide on the books they would like to buy online. Once the customer's account was created/verified (for an existing customer using ID and Password), the customer entered the Credit Card information, which was then processed securely, followed by confirmation of the placed order. The application facilitated the users to browse for different categories of books like 'Bestsellers', 'Kids', etc. along with providing information for latest events and happenings in the publishing world.

Responsibilities:

●Conducted user interviews, gathered requirements, analyzed the requirements using RUP methodology and documented the requirements using Rational Requisite Pro.
