Project Name: BAHRIA HEIGHTS.

Client: Bahria town (pvt) Ltd.

Location: KARACHI.

Position held: SAFETY OFFICER.

Project Duration: 1Year.(2020- -2021)

Roles & Responsibilities carried.

• Ensuring compliance with all International and national legislation, codes of practice and relevant standard.

• Ensuring all planned activity are carried out under PTW with required documents according to procedures.

• Conduct Training workers and staff about high risk and potential hazards on site and their prevention.

• Inspect job sites, facilities, and equipment's to monitor compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, identify health and safety hazards, and recommend corrective actions.

• Conduct pre-operational risk assessments of sites and evaluate risk eliminating control measures.

• Develops, coordinates and conducts safety and training programs for the department to reduce personal injury and property damage and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal rules (OSHA, ANSI, DM Standards) and regulations pertaining to worker and occupational safety.

• Analyse the data related accidents, Dangerous occurrence and incidents to review MOS and RA.

• Conduct safety meetings, training on accident prevention, emergency procedures, first aid, Fire Prevention, spill control, chemical handling and related subjects

• Implement color code system as per procedure and maintain record accordingly

• Identify all the potential hazard related to SIMOPS and ensure proper communication and coordination established to proceed work safely

• Pay especial attention to Critical lifting, Elevator Hoist operation, steel structures, slipform, Scaffolding and EWP platforms to ensure all control measures are in place and implemented

• Follow LOTO Procedure for hydro testing, Mechanical, Electrical etc

• Implementing the confined space procedure and all related control measures to proceed work safely

• Check and balance of welfare facilities on site

• Implementing Excavations,Road works, Electrical cable laying and pipelines as per safety standard according to Dubai, RTA, DM and DEWA regulation

• Implementation of Emergency Response Plan and initiating related drills.

• Follow up the observation’s reports received from client and take corrective actions and send closeout.

• Carry out frequent safety inspections to check conformance with the established safety program and to draw Site HSE Manager attention to deficiency for review and as a basis for continuous improvement.
