ACCOMPLISHMENTS/ACTIVITIES

Freelance Environmental Advocate

Raised awareness, made environmental issues clear, discussed difference in policy

with community, on a one to one basis, at public forums, and in newspapers which

led to the defeat of a three term US Senator in 1996 who opposed environmental

regulations and spent over seven million dollars trying to get re-elected. These

efforts was published in the December 1996 United States Congressional Record.

Interviewed President Bill Clinton about his environmental policies, Baltic, SD.

Lobbied US Senate Minority Leader, Tom Daschle, D.,SD., on the environmental consequences of North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) with the United

States, Canada and Mexico.

Help draft the Roadless Initiative in the Ouachita National Forest.

Collected enough signatures to successfully challenge Homestake Mining Companys Heap Leaching Mining Operations in South Dakota.

Worked to create curbside recycling in Sioux Falls, SD. Initiated Current Curbside Recycling Program for City of Tulsa, OK .

Wrote the cover story for Compass, trade magazine for Continental

Insurance, which won the Best Business Award for the State of New York in 1990.

Published in Compass, The Pragmatist, Eyes on You, Buzzworm, the Examiner, The Oklahoma Sierra, Tulsa Magazine, The ACRT Newsletter, my blog, Beyond Squirrels, and several newspapers.

Wrote the text for the Tulsa Master Recyclers to Planit Tulsa in 2009 titled Tulsa, A New Kind of Energy. This logo is currently used on all of the City of Tulsas websites, correspondence, and seen on the side of most of the citys vehicles. .
