Secure Pointe Technologies, Greensboro, NC President/Co-Founder Aug 2007-2016

● Founded company in fall of 2007 with the purpose of helping Churches and Non-Profit organizations increase their gross revenue by utilizing debit/credit/electronic payment technology to make donating easier for their members and supporters.

● Hired programmers and lead technician to assess the market for current available products. No one had a viable kiosk donation product at the time, so we wrote the software from scratch and leveraged our existing relationships with NCR and IBM to test hardware platforms. Developed a “Giving Kiosk’ TM and began to attend trade shows across the country to demonstrate the capability of increasing gross revenue in an economy that is using less paper, and more electronic transactions. Average gross increase in donations of 12-18% after 6 months in churches that implemented technology.

● Assess PCI compliance (Visa-MasterCard security governance), system security, and needs assessments of various non-profits and churches across the U.S.

● Collaborated with the Salvation Army’s largest location in Dallas, TX in 2008 to beta test wireless handheld units accepting credit/debit cards at their Christmas Kettle locations. Documented routine beta start-up activities and site communication, noting complex beta start-up activities and identified best site locations, and site communications. Custom designed and manufactured brackets to attach units to their existing tripods. Recommended revisions to improve efficiencies of tools and processes.

● Results of the beta test were an increase in the average donation from $2.00 per donation to

$18.00 dollars per donation. As a result the Salvation Army has rolled out wireless handheld units throughout the country over the last 3 years, and continues to increase the number of units each year.

● In addition we have upright touch screen and tabletop donation units in churches across the country as well as additional units in other non-profit organizations.

● Due to rapid growth, I partnered with First Data Corporation and Bank of America Merchant Services to take over the hardware/software delivery, and helpdesk responsibilities. We now are in a long term partnership that is a revenue sharing agreement where they handle all aspects of service and support.
