My career basically can be summarized into two parts. A. Support function through ERP implementation, system support, system audit, performance measurement, compliance tracking, and competency development. B. Manufacturing roles for Production and engineering in factories. A. My support roles:

Member of market SAP implementation team (Nestle).

SAP support and continuance of latter SAP implementation projects.

Conducts regular SAP system health checks (quick daily/ weekly/ monthly audits).

Facilitated the weekly compliance meeting of the factory management committee.

Single point of contact for system outages (BCP/ system recovery)

Instructor for new SAP end users for the End to End process of Plan-to-Produce.

Basically the champion for the proper use of SAP system (best practices). B. My manufacturing roles:

Cadet engineer involved in the transfer and set-up of a factory in Lipa City

(Textile factory).

Shift engineer maintaining manufacturing equipment in an absorbent cotton factory.

Production supervisor in a milk processing and filling plant.

NESTLE PHILIPPINES INCORPORATED

Business Excellence Manager/ BCP Manager/ Compliance Executive May 2008 to Jan 2019

From manufacturing operation, chosen to support factories with their concerns regarding business processes.

First course of action is to trouble shoot system and practice issues.

Prepared standard procedures and work instructions to ensure organization will observe business defined best practices.

Perform system test for new solutions and deploys them to relevant departments.

Led a project related to lean issuance and raw materials to production staging areas.

Leads the factory during migration upgrade processes whenever system updates are performed (I.e. SAP HANA, etc.)

Trained people to ensure the organization maintains SAP competencies by setting up the power of (3) three. Training covered the manufacturing end to end process PLAN-TO-PRODUCE.

Set-up a super users network that collaborates and share SAP knowledge across the organization.

With the competency at hand became the SPOC (single point of contact) for system BCP concerns.

Since I became the first BCP (system) executive, the whole Business Continuity Planning of the factory was later assigned to me thus scope of BCP now included BIA (Business Impact Analysis) of factory processes and sub-processes.

Conducts annual review of business impact analysis and performs different BCP drills.

Performs system audits and system health checks for different factory operations.

Shift Production Maintenance Manager

Oct 2005 to May 2008

Manages shift operation a milk plant with spray dryers and multiple filling lines thus ensuring harmonious crew relation and economic operation.

Attends morning daily operation and planning meeting.

Performs annual safety check of spray dryers.

Ensures the conduct of line ICaM (Intermediate Cleaning and Maintenance) activities.

Ensures that product quality is achieved by ensuring adherence to prescribed process parameters.

Actively involved in several line improvement activities such as, analyzing material usage variance and coming up with solid findings and recommendation for process improvement and modifications.

Handles normal shift maintenance works and personnel.

Team Leader of a Continuous Improvement group focusing in reduction of waste and rework.

Performs scheduled SAP training of production end users. Business Analyst/ SAP Superuser

Mar 2003 to October 2005

Joined the GloBe (Global Business Excellence)Team that implemented the SAP solution for the whole Philippine market.

Performed fit-gap analyses for the “would be” new processes for the factories.

Tested the solution template and raised the necessary incident tickets based on findings.

Trained factory users for the new factory system solution.

Actively supported the initial Master Data loading from the legacy system to SAP.

Supported the factories during the hyper-care period right after the go-live day.

Milk Production Supervisor (Process/ Fill pack Departments) Sept 1993 to Mar 2003

Started my career in Nestle as a milk process supervisor handling 3 spray dryers with recombining processing lines.

Ensured production program is met thus providing SFG to the downstream filling operation.

Perform SFG quality assurance releasing for the next operation.

Also handles the operation of soya extraction plant, from dehulling to evaporation process.

Performs annual (or as needed) dryer safety checks.

Ensures GMP (good manufacturing practices) is observed and as needed joins a team that conduct HACCP studies for product and processing lines.

Actively involved in all process line upgrades.

Captures and record line performance incidents in system thus building data for analyses for line improvement.

Member of locked-in crew during the labour unrest period. After the strike, rebuilt the operation by personally operating the lines then later started hiring and training new operator/mechanics.

Shift Engineer (1992-1993)

Supervise the repair and maintenance of processing machines.

Perform the synchronization of conveyors.

Supervise the operation of boilers, compressors, waste water treatment plant, and back-up generator.

Involved in the modification of ex-textile machines to facilitate the processing of absorbent cotton products.

SOUTH SEA TEXTILE MANUFACTURING INCORPORATED

Section Maintenance Supervisor (1989 to 1992)

Started as cadet engineer sent to Hong Kong to study via hands-on and theoretically the textile operation.

Attended General Textile Technology course in Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Worked as member of the dismantling team that transferred the textile machines from Hong Kong to a new factory in Lipa City.

Assisted in the drawing of the air conditioning system of the new Lipa plant.

Worked as company representative inspecting the construction of the new factory site.

Worked as a member of the reassembly and commissioning team of the new plant.
