Jacobs Engineering 2016 – 2018

Supervisor for 9 designers for Detail Design of Duke Energy, Duel Fuel Project (coal and natural gas) at Cliffside Plant in North Carolina. Completed and assisted with all on-site Scanning and Surveying effort to capture existing plant conditions. I developed Earned Value systems. I reviewed and commented the project specifications. Created and updated project list. I provided mentorship for Designers and Engineers of good practice designs and project design criteria.

Supervised 20 domestic and 36 international employees (in India) accountable for FEL (Preliminary) and Detail Design for ($105 million project) for INVSITA Fibers and PET Chip Making and Monomer Manufacturing (formally HOESCHST CELANESE Corporation) located in Spartanburg, SC. Supervised 3 domestic Engineers and 17 Designers. Work included review plant specifications, create standards, create project lists. I completed all project reviews with the client and engineers.

International work and traveled to Gurgaon, India to provide guidance and Earned Value for 6 Engineers and 30 Designers for 6 weeks total. I produced Earned Value, provided various information to keep team busy, and generally provided daily help.

Representative projects included:

Supervised projects for Dyneema American Plant 2/3/4/5 projects ranged from $85 Million and to $100 million. DSM DYNEEMA Fiber Manufacturing plants located in Greenville, NC. The teams ranging from 5 Engineers and 12 Designers. They completed, specifications, project lists and project tasks. I reviewed their accomplishments against Project Scope of work against hour estimated. I provided all project completion project reviews with the owner. Located at client owner’s site during construction. Construction task included supporting mechanical (plastic Injection areas) completions, reviewing crafts PCNs (Project Change Notices), completed crafts safety reviews, and provided feedback to the Project Manager of construction completion.

Provided FEL (Preliminary) and Detail Design for ($110 million project) for INTERCAT (Manufacturing plant of Fluid Cracking Additive for Oil Refinery Business) located in Savannah, Georgia. Supervised a team of 3 Engineers and 7 Designers. The engineers created specifications, various lists, and other details. I provided all multidiscipline project reviews at the owner’s site. The Owner and the Construction Manager provided positive feedback for ease of construction and installation of new Equipment.

Supervised 6 unique projects with PROCTOR & GAMBLE Brow n Summit Plant and Swing road located at Greensboro, North Carolina. The projects range from $45 million to $100 million. All work was completed at owner’s site. Supervised teams ranging from 4 to 9 Engineers and 6 to 12 Designers. The work included Stress, various specifications, locating cGMP equipment in Pharmaceutical facilities. I was located at owner’s site for 18 weeks.

On-Site Project Engineer located at TICONA in Shelby North Carolina and estimated scope of work, time required, and construction costs for “Small Capitol Projects”. The projects ranged from $5,000 to $350,00 for $250 million total amount spent. Managed and executed simultaneously up to 15 projects in various phases and sizes. Owner’s projects varied from addition of Process and Utility systems, Material Handling, Injection Molding systems, pellet making systems, extruders, Electrical upgrades, addition of Structural Steel, adding new Injection Molding and other Process equipment, and new small buildings. Provided detail Project Additions, Engineering Estimates. Engineering estimates included effort hours, material costs, and construction effort hours. Contact point for TTICONA Engineers, plant construction and maintenance, outside vendors, and CH2MHill engineering. I was located at owner’s site for 25 weeks.

Reviewed weekly the PCOR (Possible Change Order Requests) and budgetary estimates with the plant client. Proctor & Gamble – Brown Summit and Swing Road Located Manufacturing Plants in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Supervisor responsible various projects to increase making of Crest toothpaste and Fixodent (Denture Adhesive), VIX 44 (Cough Medicine), PEPTO BISMO (Diarrhea Medicine). Added additional capacity to high purity water system. Provide design concept reviews with P&G plant and construction personnel. I developed and issued the Piping Engineering Information (Project Scope of Work). Located on P&G site for design, checking, and field verification at various times for 22 weeks.

Supervisor for new Polyethylene Fiber upgrades. Located at owner’s site for various lists for final design.
