Child Development Supervisor / Maria Montessori Stepping Stones Daycare and After School Care
Educating the youth in the O.S.C through their 5 senses. Engaging the youth to participate in group discussions and activities. Creating a biweekly ‘theme’ of the youth’s choice. Example of a theme would be “Pollution” during circle time we would talk about pollution, what does pollution look like? How are humans and animals affected by pollution? How is Mother Earth affected by pollution? How can we help clean up pollution? Also creating art from recycled material. For science looking at how garbage in the oceans is affecting the marine ecosystems? This is an example of a ‘theme’ and how I would engage the youth to discuss and participate, and how we can help make a difference as a group or individually.
