I was working in UK as Locum consultant radiologist from April 2015- Dec 2020. I have completed my CESR in JUNE 2019.
I had to come back to India due to COVID 19 Pandemic.
Special Interest: Breast, UGI imaging
I had been doing 10PA's per week, 8hours a day.8 direct professional activities and 2 supporting professional activities. I do four sessions of Breast DBT Reporting, and Breast MDT meetings on Thursdays every week. In addition to reporting acute CT, MR of Accident and Emergency and Inpatients, USG and Doppler studies, plain radiographs reporting. I also report Oncology CT and MR done for diagnosis and follow up. Two sessions of supporting professional activity in which I do activities like taking classes for undergraduates and publish interesting cases. Those pertaining to a specialist Radiologist with wide experience in all related areas with core skills in ultrasound, MRI, CT and Mammogram, and with special interest in CT, PET-CT, MRI and Mammogram.
We have Error and DIscrepancy meetings every Monday, Clinical governance once in two months which I regularly attend.

I was Consultant in-charge CT, PET-CT and MRI..Also handled mammography and ultrasound on a rotation basis.
NABH and JCI Accredited Hospital. As per the requirements of the above mentioned accreditations, Dept. of Radiology has maintained its standard starting from patient care to dispatch of reports in time.The patient is taken care of the minute he/she enters the department until the completion of the required Investigations or procedures. Appropriate post-procedural advices given. Depending upon the clinical situation, reporting is done - Critical in 1 Hour & Routine in 4 Hours.
The health center covers practically all medical and surgical specialties, and at the present time the hospital has attained a paper-less environment - .PACS for the past four years..The Radiology Department is an established department covering all the major sub-specialties. The Department has a 1.5T Phillips Achieva MRI Scanner, installed in January 2009. An average of 15 cases is done per day amounting to 350-400 cases per month.
We have a PHILIPS GEMINI PET-CT in our department which is working for the past four years.On an average, 10 cases per day, 200-300 cases per month is done in this .department which mostly comprises oncology workup like staging, follow up, detection of residual lesions and disease relapse.
A helical CT SIEMENS SENSATION OPEN Multi-slice CT scanner installed in 2005.On an average, 25 cases are done per day amounting to 700-800 cases per month. A new 64-slice CT is proposed for.Digital and computed radiography for x-rays, CURA DIGIRAD, CANON, PORTABLE SIEMENS 8,10, CR-KODAK 70-100 X-rays per day,1500-1800 per month. Four state-of-the-art ultrasound machines (PHILIPS IU 22, SIEMENS, GE LOGIC E and SONOSITE PORTABLE). 30-40 Cases per day, 1000 cases per month inclusive of Doppler’s.A high resolution dedicated mammogram unit –HOLOGIC maintained by TRIVITRON. 10 cases per day, 200 per month.There are dedicated pediatric and adult haemato oncology teams for dealing with Hematological malignancies.
We form a team of 4 radiologists working with BARCO work-stations under HIS-PACS and RIS environment –Med synapse and Kodak PACS Link System-.. I have 8 hours duty per day adding on to 48 hours per week and off on Sundays and other holidays.
. Apollo Hospital is a DNB - Diplomat of National Board accredited Institute of Radiology, Oncology and Neurosurgery Two candidates are selected every year for 2 and 3 years DNB courses in each department. Teaching schedule is as per the requirement of the National Board of Examinations. Apart from professional duties, held daily classes for DNB trainees between 8 - 9 AM..These candidates are on call and supervision of reports is done through PACS. My job description includes conducting classes, theory exams, guiding for thesis, assisting in paper and poster presentations for these candidates.. Critical reporting formats are strictly followed in any modality where emergency reporting is communicated immediately through phone to the respective clinician and documented report is dispatched within an hour.Routine reports have a turn-around time maintenance where they are dispatched within four hours. Since it is a NABH Accredited institute the protocols are strictly followed.

MBBS & Post Graduate Medical Institute This is a post graduate medical institute where I was working as a Lecturer in the Department of radiology from 2006-2009.
It had a well-equipped Radiology department with a conventional X-ray unit, fluoroscopy, three ultrasound units, Siemen’s mammography unit, Multi-slice CT scanner-Philips and 1-5T MRI scanner.
The department catered all medical, surgical, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatric patients. The postings were on rotation basis and work was unsupervised. An average of forty ultrasounds per day - mainly related to OBG-Transvaginal, follicular studies, first, second and third trimester ultrasounds apart from routine medical and surgical patients like renal calculi, appendicitis, pancreatitis and cholecystitis.
Renal and hepatic transplant units were functioning at this centre.
Renal transplant Doppler’s - an average of three per day were done. Bedside ultrasound and Doppler of post renal and hepatic transplant surgeries were done.
Preoperative vascular work up of transplant patients both donors and recipients were done –anatomy of the hepatic and renal vasculature with 3D reformations were studied using multi-slice CT
An average of 10-15 cases per day was done in MRI, which was mostly brain and spine- neuro and ortho related.
Teaching of undergraduates and post graduate trainees was part of the job.

A DNB-accredited Diagnostic setup for training of DNB students.
It had a full-fledged radiology department with a conventional x-ray unit, fluoroscopy, three ultrasound units, Siemens mammography unit, multi-slice CT scanner-Philips and 1-5T MRI scanner.
I was in-charge of mammography and OBG ultrasound [Unsupervised].
An average of 15 mammograms per day, most of them are screening mammograms.
Ultrasound guided biopsies of breast masses and cyst aspiration done on a routine basis.
I was sent to National hospital, Seoul, South Korea in 2005 for Mammotome training for a week with Johnson and Johnson company.
