Summary:
I was responsible for the design, development, and analysis of the custom conveyor systems, robotic palletizing and elevators for automotive industry additionally this position was support R&D projects, manufacturing equipment improvements, and equipment modeling. This position will report directly to the Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Manager. Key responsibilities:
Perform engineering design evaluations and concept development across global vehicle programs.
Utilize engineering tools and demonstrate CAE groups including Safety Performance to successfully develop the best system solution.
Assessment of design to manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding, vibration welding, vacuum forming, foam-in-place, wrapping) for instrument panels and consoles.
Assessment of design to manufacturing processes used for IP Structures. Processes include steel
& aluminum stamping and extrusion as well as robotic welding, magnesium die casting, and hybrid concepts.
Package components and collaborate with other systems within the vehicle (Thermal, Electrical, Body, Chassis, Restraints, etc.)
Work multi-functionally to support initial vehicle configuration work, realize cost optimization, deliver customer-driven requirements, and implement product and process improvements.
Balance business imperatives, including but not limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timing
Communicate information to and from internal and external customer organizations (e.g. Creative Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers) and lead the product development team

Summary:
Evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment for complete project engineering and technical or analytical tasks associated with design, development, application and field support of service orders or development projects about power transformers, by performing the following duties. Key responsibilities:
Responsible to guarantee that the product fulfills the customer specifications about the custom the core frame, LV busbar, HV busbar, Enclosure, lifting points, lashing points, jacking points and Seismic design.
Creation of new BOM structures and components changes trough the ECC process and validated alternate parts for the products, as needed.
Generates and maintains product design drawings, specifications, and records.
Ensure the correct documentation and guard of the design such as design calculations, simulations, tolerance analysis, cost analysis, material selection, 3D models, specifications, etc.
Maintain and increment the product knowledge during the life cycle through generation of new design standards and developing/updating the DFMA, creation and implementation of engineering changes (ECR).
Define the necessary technical information for the manufacturing of samples and ensure the on time delivery for design validation testing.
Collaborate with the team in manufacturing, design and problem solving.
Actively participate in technical discussions with customers to ensure the correct interpretation of the documents that define the product.
Ensure that root causes are resolved through the use of methodologies such as 8D, looking for the most optimal solution from the point of view of quality, cost and response time. Education
