Final year Project:-

Title : Computational Investigation on the effect of cowl tip

clearance for a gas turbine engine

Description : In this project the tip clearance between the blade and cowl will be varied

to obtain the maximum pressure rise. The initial increase in tip clearance

increase the total pressure rise across the compressor and further

increment in tip clearance does not continue with the same effect. It gives

reduced total pressure. So there exists an optimum tip clearance ratio for

the rotating parts of the compressor.
