SITE ENGINEER (SUPER-STRUCTURE) • TOYO CONSTRUCTION • JANUARY 2020-CURRENT
My role is as a team leader for various activities on the construction of the
‘Mombasa Port Development Project Phase 2’. During my tenure thus far, we have achieved many milestones including the following achievements:
• Zero lost time injuries during the entire construction period.
• Trained various teams and induvial resulting in promotion of some members.
• Creation of a ‘catch-up’ master plan and schedule after a slow down during the covid-19 lockdown.
• Successful creation and implementation of weekly and monthly schedules ensuring that the overall schedule is within the critical path.
• Successful planning and installation of pre-cast members and utilities.
• Successful Planning and coordination of in-situ work to the highest standards
• Creation of master schedule and subsequent coordination for crane rail welding and installation.
• Creating, evaluating, and improving work methodologies and execution plans
• Coordinating and supporting of sub-contractors ensuring that their works were as per the design and to the highest quality

My role as the team leader of the design team on site was on the ‘SUPERVISION OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF LORUK-BARPELO (B17) ROAD SECTION’. The following were the achievements accomplished:
• Promotion to team leader
• Successful re-design of the horizontal and vertical alignment of the road to cater for essential on site changes.
• Successful design and implementation of 3 no access roads
• Solving challenges posed to the contractor through technical knowledge and ability
• Successful implementation of the contract documents ensuring the works were per the technical specifications and the drawings.
