● Essential: B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification qualification criteria
● Relevant university qualifications, preferably at the graduate level (e.g. Bachelor of Education plus Bachelor of Physical and Health Education, or equivalent)
● Experience teaching Physical and Health Education
● Experience teaching Outdoor Education and Fitness and Conditioning courses, an asset
● Experience in an independent school, an asset
● A comprehensive understanding of current educational practices outlined in the BC Ministry of Education documents
● Knowledge of PHE specific pedagogy such as “Teaching Game for Understanding”
