Project Name : Fabrication of Scotch Yoke Mechanism for filing and cutting operations done in Valivalam Desikar Polytechnic College, Nagapattinam. Role : Team Head Team Size : 5 Project Duration : 1 Month Project Detail A quick return mechanism is an apparatus to produce a reciprocating motion in which the time taken for travel in return stroke is less than in the forward stroke. It is driven by a circular motion source (typically a motor of some sort) and uses a system of links with three turning pairs and a sliding pair. Using the Scotch yoke mechanism for two operations in a single cycle. By getting the quick return mechanism to the rod of connected to the two end of shaping and cutting tools. By converting the motor rotary motion into reciprocating motion by Scotch and yoke we drive the two operations in a single rotation of wheel. Project Name : AUTOMATED SENSOR TYPE WIPER, DOOR WINDOWS, HEAD LIGHT AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL DESIGNED FOR FOUR WHEELERS done in SASTRA University, Thanjavur

In this project our objectives are:

Making the windows to be closed automatically when air conditioner turn on by temperature monitoring. High beam’s are turned to low beams when a reflection observed from other Vehicle or from other head lights high beam by sensing light and photo resistivity of Opposite vehicle. The wiper speed is automatically changed as per the speed of rain. The accelerator pedal will get locked when on constant pressing of pedal. By using ultrasonic sensor and Limit switch to control accelerator pedal automatically, flow sensor used to control wiper, photo resistor to control head lamps and the windows control by flow and thermal resistors. Using the Urduino to control all the equipment’s installed in the project by the vehicle control unit signal.
