I have over 35+ years of experience in the oil/gas industry, chemical and heavy commercial industry. I have over 27 years of experience in managing, supervising, and directing projects and fabrication in shops and in the field. I am bilingual, fluent in reading, writing and speaking Spanish. Over the course of employment, I have been involved with various jobs in Management and Supervisory positions; have completed/attended training courses in Management/Supervision as well as teaching/training other co-workers on job sites and classrooms; have utilized computers programs (Microsoft Office/Excel) for purchasing, shipping/receiving along with moving and storing/stating in warehousing as well; certified/trained Fork Trucks/Forklifts as well as a Boom Truck and 18 ton Cherry Picker; have been involved in numerous projects in purchasing, material take-offs, estimating project, mobilizing and demobilizing for Industrial/Commercial Projects.
Responsibilities have included daily field construction of large/small individual projects, enforcing company policies, procedures, fabrication, QA and QC systems, requirements, following specifications provided by the client; managed projects and staff ranging from $1.5 million to $250 million plus projects and extra $50 million, grand total upon closing contract. Daily duties as Project Manager included tracked progress production; familiar with Debottleneck Furnaces; worked with full ISBL/OSBL in overseeing insulation and scaffolding departments; reviewing schedules, man hours, supervision recording and document all aspects of the project to Project Managers/staff; fulfilling numerous amounts of roles in the oil and gas industry in fabrication shops and gas plants. As Project Manager, supervised and directed daily tasks pertaining to construction in shops and fields with subcontractors and staff of approximately 1,000 to 1,900 employees; coordinated spool piping fabrication, coatings and deliveries to meet deadlines in a timely manner. All job packages performed under my supervision were inspected during and after fabrication and coatings prior to being delivered from fabrication and coating shops in Corpus Christi, Victoria, Houston area Paris, and Port Arthur, TX and Baton Rouge, New Iberia, and Homa, LA.; other duties included review drawings for RFI’s and revisions as per client as per revisions or design changes; performed walk through inspections in every unit and every elevation regardless of the levels in unit as per federal and state guidelines pertaining to all groundwork, dirt, framing, rebar, concrete, steel erection, installing rotating/heavy equipment/electrical units, piping, valves, tanks, towers, vessels, pipe racks, cable trays, conduit, catwalks, insulation, and paint coatings as required per scope of work. I also took part in weekly safety meetings and random tool box safety meetings so employees understand the dangers and preventing unsafe acts during the projects. I make sure everyone understands the tasks prior to its commencement. SAFETY IS MY PRIORITY TO EVERYONE.
