10. Ensures that the levels of waste management services are according to agreed specifications, timely, and adhere to quality parameters
11. Monitors service provider performance in the assigned region/s across waste management operations contracts, related to waste collection, storage, transfer, landfills, recovery or as appropriate.
12.Acts as a single point of contact for MSW operations for assigned region/s, liaising with concerned managers, staff and waste operation specialists (including those within the MSW Planning and Landfill) for technical advice and/or support for addressing any issues that arise in contract implementation
13. Monitors, analyzes and reports key metrics regarding the contractors’ progress, services provided etc. within the assigned region/s
14. Manages critical stakeholder interactions in the assigned regions - with service providers, customers, municipalities etc.
15. Reviews, approves and recommends for approval of higher management, service provider claims for services carried out within assigned region/s
16. Reviews technical papers, proposals and other documents related to regional operations
17. Ensures generation and collection of pertinent data and information from, and, as a result of waste management operation in the service areas
18. Leads in the application of monitoring procedures and tools including the iform and CRM systems.
19. Provides inputs related to the regions and contracts they manage, for any planning and monitoring related activities
20. Guarantees that guidelines with respect to environment & sustainability and health & safety are adhered to across the region by the contractors
21. Facilitates periodic and/or special meeting with the service provider and other stakeholders as appropriate
22. Undertakes strategic contract review to determine status of the contract and the future of the contract upon expiry (e.g. contract extension, new tender process etc.)
23. Responds to questions and issues related to Service Agreements and contracts.
24. Provides technical support and advice for contract variations and disputes etc.
25. Supports contract closure process (e.g. handover of information and records, return of assets etc.) and post contract analysis, evaluation and reporting.
