ACADEMIC PROJECT:
UG PROJECT: Design, analysis and fabrication of Go-Kart
Designing the Go-Kart chassis structure in SOLIDWORKS cad software. I have done static structural simulation and calculated the factor of safety. Then using the CAD models and drawings,chassis body and roll cage are fabricated. Front and side bumper panels are made using glass fibre mats.
UG PROJECT: Design, analysis and fabrication of Dirt Bike.
Designed an Off-road vehicle and fabricated it with a 70cc engine and ground clearance 300mm..The bike frame is designed in CATIA and it is meshed in ANSYS software. A static structural simulation is done for bike frame. The results are interpreted and changes have been made accordingly. The vehicle panel body is made using plastic fibre and general-purpose resin.
PG PROJECT: Design and analysis of non Newtonian fluid damper.
Efficiency is increased closer to semi-active damper. Non-newtonian fluids vary the viscosity on the application of external pressure. Replaced the conventional silicon oil with a non-Newtonian fluid. so now inactive passive damper works like a semi- active damper by varying its viscosity. A similar 3d FE model is designed in SOLIDWORKS and cfd is done in ANSYS FLUENT. fluid zone is meshed with remesh method,in which the mesh starts to remesh when fluid is flowing.
