International Training Branch
Washington, DC 06/2002 – 01/2014
I was the logistics analyst for International Training Branch. This is done by interacting daily with the mail facility personnel by telephone in person and by email. I coordinate the timely pickup of packages containing training materials, supplies and equipment essential to the success of the training missions. It is imperative that the shipping personnel send the materials out via the proper method to assure they arrive at the training venue. Due to the complicated issues of customs and international laws it is necessary that the proper carrier is utilized. My relationship with the instructors, ITB program manager, ITB Branch chief, program analysts, shipping and receiving personnel and managers allows me to identify the specific needs required to provide them with needed materials in a timely manner to make the mission successful. I track the shipments until they arrive at their final destination. Through my relationship with these individuals and groups I have assisted out training teams in several remote and distant parts of the globe, places such as Bangkok, Thailand; Indonesia, the Republic of Georgia and several African and South American nations. I worked on a daily basis with the ITB program manager and provided him with the materials he requested while performing his duties in Iraq for several months. Also in this regard I routinely interact with personnel at International Law Enforcement Academies in Thailand, Hungary, Botswana and El Salvador. In my position I worked with the Learning Management System (LMS), by adding International training classes which are conducted around the world, this was done by compiling list of students and instructors and then inserting them into the LMS system.
