Transplant Program Associate/Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) Accreditation Project Manager

Project Manager for the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT); which establishes standards for high quality medical and laboratory practice in cellular therapies; and we have held FACT Accreditation for the past 17 years.

o Coordinates the FACT Annual and Compliance Report (Consists of answering all questions about the TCT program areas such as: Adults, Pediatrics, Marrow Collection, Therapeutic Apheresis, and Stem Cell Processing Laboratory, ensuring that all evidence is included and uploaded to the FACT Accreditation Portal. Making sure all medical license, credentials and CME’s are current for all TCT Clinicians. Reporting the number of Allogeneic, Autologous, Haploidentical, and commercial products adult and pediatric patients transplanted within the TCT program with unique identifiers. Providing copies of current certifications from other accreditation agencies such as; The Joint Commission for the Hospital, The Joint Commission for the Laboratory, American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), The American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI), New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Permit and the New York State Department of Health License for Tissue Bank Operation).

o Coordinates and monitors all FACT Standards

o Works in close liaison with the FACT home office when clarification of a standard is

required

o Chairs the FACT Task Force to ensure the TCT program remains compliant with the

current FACT Standards

o Monitors the due dates for all standard operating procedure reviews

o Notifies the TCT team of changes to standards that will require a change in practice

o Attends all pertinent meetings in order to monitor compliance with all FACT Standards
