Detonator Blasting & Contracting Co. LLC (DBCC) a seasoned professional company, established in the year 1998, with the objective to meeting ever growing Mining, Civil Construction Industries by providing manufacturing and import of Commercial Explosives and specializing in the application of high explosives for controlled blasting for the excavation of rock and reinforced concrete on both land and water. DBCC’s chased and developed the expertise needed to provide the construction, utility, pipeline, mining and aggregate industry with state of the art precision Drilling & Blasting services. The company operates quarries and crushes gabbro in the Al Jifnayn area, Muscat. Kunooz Gabbro Crushed products are of high grade gabbro meeting the international standards. Our products are certified to use in wear coarse asphalting at Haima Airport project. Aggregates and crushed sand is also being supplied to Galfar Aspire, Tarmac and RAK MIX companies, who are in turn supplying the Ready- mix producers in several Muscat municipality approved for civil projects. This is used as base material for roads, driveways, site fill, asphalt base, and for plaster and concrete. The company is ideally positioned to sell all its products within the greater Muscat area. • Responsible to manage, lead and direct this Gabbro mining company business units for quarry/plant operations. Al TammanIndsil Ferrochrome LLC (ATIFC), Muscat
Overseas Group Sohar, Oman.
ATIFC is a 50:50 Joint Venture company of Muscat Overseas Group and Indsil Group of India. The company was setup with the objective to tap the potential of Oman Chrome Ore reserve by establishing a
$50 million Ferro Chrome Plant, an upstream facility to manufacture value added products i.e. ferrochrome. ATIFC commissioned two numbers of submerged arc furnaces of 24 MVA capacities each with installed capacity of smelting plant is 75,000 MTPA high carbon ferrochrome products. ATIFC uses around 15,000 MT per month of Chromite Ore for production of ferrochrome. Minerals Explorations and Mining Business Development Experiences:
• Responsible for strategic planning of captive mines, lead the mining business development and integration of chrome ore supply to the ferrochrome plant for use.
• Develop detailed exploration strategy and supervise of all exploration program activities, review geological maps and drilling logs to estimate quality and quantity of chrome ore deposit. Evaluate the project’s economic merits, conduct feasibility studies and align to mining operating goals.
• Oversee the development and completion of Exploration Study Report for submission to Public Authority for Mining, Environmental Management Plan for Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and project construction for further Greenfield mining operation. Key past Industry Achievements:
In ATIFC, I’ve discovered virgin Chrome Ore proved reserved of USD 10.6 Million valued assets as of now. ATIFC is yet to start of opencast mining operation subject to receiving Mining License from Public Authority for Mining, Sultanate of Oman. Aug. 2012 – July, 2016 : Operations Manager,
Bahar Oman Metals & Allied Services LLC, OMZEST Group Muscat, Oman.
The company was a part of Bahar Oman Holding LLC, a Joint Venture between Omar Zawawi Establishment (OMZEST) and International Minerals Resources B.V. (IMR BV), one of the world’s largest private mining and metals investment groups based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. BOMAS was seeking captive Chromite ore mining in Oman as well as abroad for the proposed $150 million Ferro Chrome Plant.
Mining Investment Analysis Experiences:
• Served as an internal consultant in mining expertise and shared knowledge with colleagues for the captive chrome mining business for the company. Conducted fundamental research and gather pool of information to prospect chromite ore mining investments opportunities by networking with governmental, industrial and other sources of market intelligence. The potential assets are predominately at exploration through to feasibility stage.
• Conducted, cash flow analysis of potential deposits based on ore reserve data, production estimate, potential risk assessment and worked with internal colleagues to close the deals.

In Bahar Oman Metals & Allied Services (BOMAS) LLC, using my expertise, carried out due diligence, cash flow analysis and detailed valuation of mining assets in Oman as well as abroad on a case by case basis, in which BOMAS was seeking majority shareholding as private equity investments and presented to the Executive Committee of JV Company. The parent company is engaged in the manufacturing/sales of explosive and trading of related ancillary products and Techrock a sister company is engaged in rock drilling/blasting services in Oman. • Plan blasting of hard rocks from the quarry face, providing adequate stock levels for current and future needs.
