Job Responsibility:

Develop specifications and instructions for installation of voltage transformers, overhead or underground cables, and related electrical equipment used to conduct electrical energy from transmission lines or high-voltage distribution lines to consumers. Preparing shop drawings

(DATA, PAGING, FIRE ALARM, POWER, LIGHTING, GROUNDING, CABLE ENTRANCE, and MEP). Under general direction preparation of engineering electrical and electromechanical drawings using software utilizing technical knowledge for drafting and designing to produces engineering drawings Generating conceptual space plans, sketches, proposals diagrams, isometric views and model making with using of AutoCAD for new facilities and resolving critical issues, clashes and remodel projects. Organizing and maintaining construction as-built plans and accurate as-built CAD records and file system. Maintaining accurate space plan and occupancy information for staff, furnishings, building systems, voice and data infrastructure cabling, and security systems. Generating and maintaining accurate evacuation plans, life safety systems, and Environmental Health and Safety drawings for compliance programs. Documenting and maintaining drawings for standard operating procedures for Facilities and Operations.

1. Assemble documentation packages and produce drawing sets which are then checked by and engineer or an architect.

2. Confer with engineering staff and other personnel to resolve problems. 3. Draft working drawings, wiring diagrams, wiring connection specifications or cross- sections of underground cables, as required for instructions to installation crew. 4. Draw master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and dimensions.

5. Measure factors that affect installation and arrangement of equipment, such as distances to be spanned by wire and cable.

6. Study work order request to determine type of service, such as lighting or power, demanded by installation.

7. Visit proposed installation sites and draw rough sketches of location. 8. Determine the order of work and the method of presentation, such as orthographic or isometric drawing.

9. Explain drawings to production or construction terms and provide adjustments as necessary.

10. Reproduce working drawings on copy machines or trace drawings in link. Page 3

11. Review completed construction drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and xonformity to standards and regulations.

12. Supervise and train other technologists, technicians and drafters. 13. Write technical reports and draw charts that display statistics and data. 14. Use computer-aided drafting equipment and conventional drafting stations, technical handbooks, tables, calculators, and traditional drafting tools such as boards, pencils, protractors, and T-squares.
