• To test the Temperature on lamp by using wire type thermocouple, Vibration test. NNTPP plant description

NNTPP (Neyveli New Thermal Power Plant) with the capacity of (2*500MW) lignite thermal power plant project . The capacity of the power plant is 2*500MW lignite fired boiler and the type of the boiler is once through sub-critical drum less with the main steam pressure and temperature of 178kg/cm2 478deg. The pulverizing unit by 8nos of mills which is beater wheel type.

Summary of instruments – worked and commissioned

• Check and calibrating Temperature Elements like Thermocouple,RTD.

• Erection commissioning of Transmitters like Pressure - Flow - Level (ultrasonic, radar fill, DP type level) – Temperature element and transmitters.

• 3D level transmitter for bunker lignite level monitoring system installation and commissioning calibration.

• Erection commissioning of Switches like Pressure - Flow - Level - Sway switches - Limit switches

– push buttons, Sensor: Proximity sensor - Speed sensor & module - Flame scanner.

• Erection commissioning of Valves like Solenoids (single and double acting both hydraulic and pneumatic) – Motor operated Valve - Control valve positioner (Siemens & ABB & Forbes marshal) Mascot de-superheating valves and Parcol hydraulic valves like huge valves also commissioned.

• Control System lignite pulverizing system like beater wheel Mill, lignite Feeder like apron feeder and belt conveyor and its protection & interlock checked.

• Erection commissioning of BMS - Fuel Oil System (oil like LDO & HFO) for initial firing of furnace.

• Scoop calibration and set point fixing for MDBFP (Motor Driven Boiler Feeder Pump) and MILL HYDRAULIC COUPLING MOTOR speed controller.

• Configuration of speed proximity modules and transmitter with HART communication device.

• VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) commissioning for HT drives motor of Apron feeder and Belt conveyor for controlling the speed.

• Erection commissioning of IO cards like AI AO DI DO RTD TC and controllers are known to replace and trouble shooting.

• WLB (Water Lance Blower) for entire boiler were erected.

• TSI (Turbine Supervisory Instrument) for TDBFP (Turbine Driven Boiler Feed Pump) by FORBES MARSHALL been coordinated and commissioned.

• Commissioning of Control dampers for oil and coal inlet to boiler with Siemens and ABB positioner.

• Super Heater line and reheater line ERV (Electro Relive valve) for that maximum and minimum pressure value setting and commissioned.

• Responsible for all the C&I activities in the Operation & Maintenance of the Plant while full load and other activities.

• Loop checking, Logic test for DCS.

Planning management and Safety role

• Interfacing with the vendors related to Boiler & Turbine C&I work.

• To ensure the amount of work done is in accordance with schedule.

• Carrying out advance preplanning for resource mobilization, manpower deployment and rendering technical support ensuring the execution of projects within time, cost & budgetary parameters

• Formulating daily progress & weekly completion of progress report.

• Managing & recording the pictorial view of site on monthly basis.

• Conducting daily team meeting and discussing about the work progress and future planning. Work Experience
