Commanded a specialized intelligence organization and made numerous changes which transformed it into an organization which was described as “a high performance unit with solid systems.” Applied my strong planning and organizational skills in eliminating over 130 lines of excess equipment which tied up at least half a million dollars in worthless assets. Evaluated in writing as “a splendid leader and highly professional officer of high moral character” as Commander of the Analysis and Control Element (ACE) Detachment for a military intelligence battalion which conducted missions on three continents. Trained and supervised 56 employees in 16 different occupational fields who were involved in collecting, analyzing, producing, and disseminating intelligence in support of the Commanding General’s Priority Intelligence Requirements. Managed $16 million in assets which included a fleet of tactical vehicles, trailers, power generators, as well as intelligence and (classified) communications processors. Was praised in writing for exceptional team-building skills which created a highly cohesive organization. As commander I was personally responsible for all aspects of the Analytical Control Element (ACE) COMSEC account management and support to subordinate units within the battalion. Managed a comprehensive logistics program for a 360 person military intelligence battalion in support of Operation Joint Guard, Bosnia-Herzegovina. Managed a property book valued at $55 million and accounted for the task force’s Class I, II, IV and VII accounts while supporting 17 Counterintelligence teams located on 12 base camps spread over an area the size of the state of Maine. Was proactively involved in an ongoing national level priority one mission and was credited with “deftly providing logistical support to sensitive intelligence missions and coordinating transportation, maintenance, and supply issues with multiple organizations and agencies.” Was praised for handling complex issues with ease, and was described in writing as “a meticulous planner who prepares for every eventuality.”
