Military Humanitarian Medical Service in Honduras, spring 1999 with the Minnesota National Guard. This was a National Guard Mission in response to hurricane Mitch that destroyed much of Honduras infrastructure. Our mission was to provide medical care, public health, and restore infrastructure to many of the small jungle villages. Built schools, clinics, and dug wells. Awarded the United States Army Humanitarian Service Medal.
Mobilized for service in the Utah National Guard in support of the 2002 Winter Olympic games, Salt Lake City UT. Staffed the medical clinic, and participated in cold weather operations training.

Served in Operation Iraqi freedom December 2004 to March 2005. Extensive experience in the management of complex combat trauma in the field, the ER, the OR, and the ICU. Organized and supervised the training of 14 special forces combat medics in hospitals, and villages through out greater Nepal. Training included the ability to deliver emergency anesthesia care, emergency medicine skills, tropical medicine, preventative and ambulatory medicine to include pediatric medicine. Met with the National Nepalese Medical Council and with local village leaders to learn more about their medical system and their culture. Awarded The United States Army Commendation Medal.

Jan 19th 2010 to August 4th 2010. Deployed as a representative of the Joint IED Defeat organization under the command of Lieutenant General Michael Oates to deploy a 1.2 million dollar Acute Pain Medicine Program from Bagrahm to Helmond to Kandahar. Complete 1.2 million dollar program development and training to include air evacuation of wounded Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines. Awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service on the 30th of August 2010 by Lieutenant General Michael Oates.
Deployed May 7, 2013 to September 8, 2013. Operation Enduring Freedom Camp Arifjan Kuwait. Chief of Anesthesiology. Program development and training of staff. Supervised the recovery of DOD personnel. Served as the Deputy Flight Surgeon and Centcom Pain Medicine Consultant in theater. Awarded the United States Army Commendation Medal.
