Account Receivable (Cash Management)
• Covering European countries, consisting of Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK & Norway.
• Pioneer in a new migration project (2021) of knowledge transfer between EU financial teams to act as a global financial hub.
• Collaborate with the EU finance team to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Prepare the SOP of transferred knowledge & update with the new simplified idea.
• Resourcefully oversee vendor invoices (overhead cost) and check requests for accuracy, proper approval, and appropriate documentation prior to entering into the accounting system.
• Assist as a backup to cover Asian Countries, i.e. Thailand & Singapore.
• Assess daily incoming funds report.
• Prepared payment proposals for all vendors every month.
• Prepared a monthly bank reconciliation (Pivot Table).
• Chasing client for prompt settlement.
• Resolve errors and queries and escalate to the Country Manager where necessary.
• Ensure month-end closing deadlines are met.
Account Payable (AP) & Disbursement Account (DA Billing)
• Responsible for Accounts Payable, General Ledger Accounting & reconciliation, billing process to the client (DA).
• Covering vendors in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand & Indonesia. Each country consists of several port harbors with multiple vendors.
• Managed to book 200+ invoices in a day during the crew exchange season 2020.
• Assess missing invoice reports on a weekly basis.
• Strongly support all departments and provide financial analysis.
• Prepared billing process to the client, which consists of tanker ship, owner ship
& cash to master (CTM).
• Professionally respond to all vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Proactively absorb additional responsibilities within current role while producing 50% more work than assigned.
• Provide training to the new joiners for the team and help them with the migration.
