• Description: We proposed and implemented a general system that can help users to organize and keep track their daily medication uses on smartphone based on machine learning applications. I was in-charged of developing real-time object detection model and extended this model to few-shot and continual learning mode for real-world deployment. I also participated in several projects in computer vision (VinBigData Chest X-ray Abnormalities Detection (top 10%), Object Tracking)

VinUniversity Smart Health Lab

Research Assistant 8/2021-11/2021

• Description: We researched how to improve pill detection performance under limited data settings and noisy environment. We did literature review about continual, few-shot object detection and experimented State-of- the-Art algorithms like Meta-DETR and TFA for pills recognition. I achieved significant result 90 mAP

(.5:.95) on self-collected 5-13 shots dataset using balanced-slow fine-tuning method.

• Description: Leading an engineering team of three members to develop real-time speech translation sys- tem for English-Vietnamese where we try to optimize Transformer models for embedded system and im- prove BLEU performance on Vietnamese-English pair translation. We achieved 3rd Prize at UAVS HACK- ATRIX 2021 and top 20 Techfest 2021.

• Description: Developing a fast adaptive computer vision model based on external knowledge about objects like described texts and knowledge graphs. Some possible outcomes might be improving performance and robustness of few-shot object detection system or image classifier. I also cooperate with other researchers in various projects related to smart healthcare like Gait Analysis, 3D estimation at VISHC.

Rare-diseases Searching Tool

Main contributor 12/2020-2/2021

• Description: Crawled information of more than 3000 rare diseases from PubMed and store them in a struc- tured SQL database then used Natural Language Model (BART) to encode documents and Vector Search Framework (FAISS) to search relevant diseases after receiving queries from users. I also made REST API public through a website. With accuracy of 75%, this project won best final project of CECS. Vietnamese Sentiment Analysis

• Description: Building a large-scale web-based application allowing users to monitor responses of their mar- keting campaigns from social-network platform through statistics visualization and comment sentiment anal- ysis using SVMs and Naive Bayes classifier. This project required me to handle with noisy and real-world data, building scalable system of sentiment analysis SKILLS
