DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review regulatory requirements to provide guidance and proven solutions to project management; participate in monitoring and controlling HSE standards, applicable laws and regulations.
Participate in the Pre Start-up Safety Review, Management of Change Process and HazOp Reviews.
Conducts safety inductions/trainings and toolbox meetings.
Participate and facilitate HSE walkabouts and demonstrate strong commitment and enthusiasm.
Participate on HSE Committee meeting and contractors progress meetings.
Advise on the preparation and implementation of safe system of work and the provision and use of appropriate protective equipment.
Carry out periodic inspections and audits to identify unsafe plant and working practices, and to report any findings making appropriate recommendations for remedial actions
Promote the two-way communication process by encouraging constructive comments from Employees regarding matters relating to Health, Safety, Environment and taking actions accordingly.
Advise the site supervisors/management team on matters in respect of HSE requirements and site implementation.
Assist the HSE Manager in planning emergency evacuation and fire drills at the site.
Report all unsafe act/conditions identified to Site Engineers for immediate rectification further report to HSE Managers any work stoppage.
Ensure Evacuation Plans and conduct regular emergency drills at their areas of responsibility, in coordination with their direct Area HSE in charge.
Conducts daily site and workplace inspection in view of discovering unsafe acts or condition and to implement deficiencies and observe safety standard
Review and discuss inspection reports to the supervisors and management
Implements and enforces accident prevention plan and job hazard analysis, and ensures compliance with all safety and health requirements
Conducts risk analysis, investigate incident, recommends corrective and preventive measures and promote OH&S policies and procedure
Documentation on various inspection such as; fire extinguisher inspection, full body harness inspection, ladder inspection, power tools, lifting accessories etc.
