This was an interagency project in collaboration with UNICEF and LISGIS. The object was to gather data on employment. Prior to this study, the 2003 employment data (which showed unemployment at 85%) needed revision. Data was gathered from employed in but the private and public sectors including the informal sector.

Enumerator

Duties:

Performed data gathering in Bong and Lofa Counties. Questionnaires were complete by surveying targeted groups within these counties. The sample size included public sector workers and individuals within the private and informal sectors.

Completed the assignment 2 weeks ahead of schedule

Ministry of Health, Tubman Boulevard, Congo Town, Liberia June 2016

Interviewer

Service Availability and Readiness Assessment (SARA), a project in collaboration with the United Nations’ World Health Organization to understand the state of the service availability and readiness of the health sector in Liberia and to generate evidence to support the planning and managing of a health system through “sampling done in a systematic manner to ensure that the findings are representative of the country, region/district in which the survey were conducted”.

Duties:

Conducted survey and observation of health facilities in Liberia and collect data which was used for analysis and to make inference to strengthen the healthcare delivery system and ensure resilience.

Independent Commission on Human Rights/ Congo Town, March 2016- Investigator

The Independent National Human Rights Commission formed as a result of the Prison Reform Act of 2011 to ensure that prisoners have equal access to legal representation and monitor other human right abuses within the prison system.

Duties:

Performed investigations according to the standard operating procedures on prison abuses and other human right violations brought to the Commission’s attention

Presented report and finding and recommendation from investigation to the Commissioners for furtherance

Key Achievements:

Report lead to changes in standard operating procedures in prison management, leading to better and fearer treatment for prisoners

Ministry of Health/ Congo Town, Liberia 2016

This was a project sponsored by the UNDP and UNICEF, the goal was to establish a data base of health workers qualification, while conducting a payroll audit for the MoH, identifying ghost, saving money and redirecting savings to salary increase for GoL health workers.

Duties:

Conducted health worker survey in Nimba County.

Performed survey of health facilities through interview that including work experience, salary and educational background (including photos).

Identified gaps in salary, ghost workers identification

Key Achievements:

Identified ghost names, leading to more accurate wage bill of the MoH

Achieved the survey a week ahead of schedule allowing for verification, ensuring data was accurate.

Ministry of Health—Ebola Command Center/ Sinkor, Liberia 2014-2016

In 2014, Liberia and its neighbor were plagued with the worst Ebola outbreak. As part of its response strategy, the GoL through the Ministry of Health established an Ebola command center, responsible for recording and reporting reported outbreaks.

Communication Officer

Duties:

Received and recorded Ebola cases/non-Ebola cases and transfer the information to the dispatch team to get the patients who were sent to the ETU or body was sent for disposal and ensure survivors were quarantined and the necessary food supplies were provided during the period of isolation.

Ministry of Health/ Congo Town, Liberia 2013-2014

The MoH sought to ensure that vaccination introduced in this for children were provided and sought to find the number of cases of allergenic reaction through random sampling nationally. The project also targeted pregnant women and their unborn and medication supplied and taken.

Conducted data validation on vaccines given to children below 11 months.

Worked in Grand Gedeh surveyed people on the newest vaccine and it distribution and allergeric reaction and/or fallacies that might be associated.

Worked along with M&E of the MOH

Visited facilities to identify and account for medication given to pregnant women and children.

Verified whether the facilities are properly equipped and outreach.

Reports of findings were forwarded to the ministry of health.
