Upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain all types of computers, scanners, printers etc. used in the Fed Ex network. Also includes routers, wireless access points, scales, point of sale, and inventory systems.

Construction Compliance

Monitored and maintained up to 30 co-located cell sites in the West Virginia footprint. Includes all inside and outside wireless equipment, HVAC units and diesel generators, -24 and -48 volt Power Plants. Responsible for troubleshooting any issues and resolving them, along with all hardware and software updates. Tracked all inventory within these sites. Responsible for trend analysis to find problems. Documented all in easy to read spreadsheets. Established and maintained a 4 site microwave hop in southern West Virginia to bring LTE to the most remote sites.

Responsible for Nortel DMS-100 switch and all peripherals, including -48 volt Power Plant with multiple rectifiers. Direct supervisor of switch and cell technicians. Completed all switch translations and routing. Tested and turned up voice trunks. Worked with other wireless providers on roaming agreements. Worked with customer service to troubleshoot customer issues. Created and implemented a training program to familiarize Customer Service Representatives with Wireless/PCS technology. West Virginia Wireless Employee of the year in 2002. Verizon Wireless acquired company in 2007; transitioned to cell technician because there would be no switch in West Virginia.

Installed and tested 5E switching, DSL, toll, and DC power plants in land line, co-located central offices. Responsible for meeting with customer to discuss plans, safety concerns and co-location guidelines. . In charge of up to 8 other installers. Transferred to New York City in October of 2001 to help rebuild damaged AT&T phone office at Ground Zero. Laid off in February 2002.
