ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES .

Operation of total station, Auto level theodolite and electronic distance measuring equipment. Performs intermediate surveying Computations to include traversing, investing, translation and rotation of data, simple curves, closures of figures and areas.

Understanding of surveying software and computer aided design (CAD) equipment in preparation of survey plats.

Inspects and reviews contract surveys for conformance with the contract specifications.

Advice the senior land surveyor and Resident Engineer and recommend actions concerning construction surveys.

Maintain the construction surveys and quantity records as per the senior land surveyor instructions.

Perform the initial baseline and control surveys including establishment of benchmarks and recovery of any existing survey monuments to be removed at the start of project as directed by the senior land surveyor and senior resident engineer.

Support survey crews working in the field. Establish scope, responsibilities, and performance standards for specific project

Keeping complete records of work executed on daily basis

Assisting the planning and quantity surveyor teams with progress and measurement of the works

Checking of As-built works for conformance and ensuring As- built survey of the completed works is recorded for project hand-over

Participate in the format and standard procedures for calculation and documentation of quantities.

Assist the Senior Land Surveyor in training in the use of modern survey equipment.

Involve in the calibration and checking of the survey instruments.
