Scope: State of Qatar Government Museum’s and Heritage Authority

POSITION: QHSE Specialist- Facilities Management

Responsibilities:

I prepare Audit Plans and conduct quarterly and periodic Audits in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, as well as Contractual SLAs.

I conduct monthly SLA/KPI Audits of Contractors and submit the PMR which is prepare for their monthly Completion Certificates and Invoices.

I develop procedures and maintain the HSE Manual for the organization.

I conduct Materials verification inspections and maintain the records.

I chart the cause in maintaining very minimal incident rate, no Loss Time Injury and improved safety awareness.

I conduct Quality Assurance checking and monitoring procedures including materials verification, RFI’s, etc. and submitting the same to the QMA Management Service Representative

I monitor and continuously seek opportunities for improvement in weather monitoring and alerts within QMA and Stakeholders.

I am subscribed to the Qatar Meteorology Department, so I receive daily SMS of weather forecast and then prepare Weather Forecast Memos which are sent to all Staff and Stakeholders whenever there is a Warning.

Training, coaching and mentoring Staff of the Facilities Management Department Team.

I am a key player and influencer in the Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plan of QMA.

I conduct Emergency Response Training, actively monitored and implement the plan by guiding other Stakeholders.

I conduct emergency evacuation drills across QMA sites.

I train Security Department Staff and Contractors on Emergency evacuation procedures.

I advise Contractors and other Stakeholders on achieving deliverables and milestones while considering holistic Risk Management

I issue NCR’s and oversee Corrective Action Meetings for closure of non-conformances.

I update recommended codes of practice and safety literature and advising QMA Stakeholders

I promote safety awareness by organizing safety meetings, training presentations, open forum discussions and lessons learnt

I actively maintain perfect working relationship and lobby skills with important stakeholders and promoting ownership of Health and Safety functions to higher management.

I Use the CAFM to update and verify work order, PPM, CM status, etc.

I submit regular written reports and updates to the Senior Management Team.

I liaise with departments and clients in controlling the permit to work system, training them on the same and there has been excellent performance in this vital safe system of work.

I review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments and other operational documents.

I play an active role in construction & operation management and ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations and keeping the evaluation register up to date

I undertake joint walkthrough inspections with Contractor QHSE Officers reviewing the Reports and recommend effective controls and corrective actions, tracking same to ensure closure of issues raised.

I carry out incident investigation, root cause analysis and propose recommendations for improvement.

I prepare Weekly Report in brief dashboard format for environmental audits / inspections.
