I have three years’ experience as a medical receptionist. I have worked in a private practice and in a corporate medical facility. I have learnt to work in a team and to train new receptionists. I am proficient in the medical systems GoodX, MedEdi and Recomed.I have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word).I am fully bilingual with my home language being Afrikaans and my secondary language English. I have had the privilege in assisting the doctor’s in their day to day tasks: aiding our patients with their visits to the specialists and hospitals by obtaining authorisations for their procedures. I made bookings for our patients and added their details onto our system. I believe the greatest challenge a receptionist has in a large practice is to make any client or patient feel at home and accommodate them as best as we can. I believe that clients and patients should feel like family once they walk through a company’s door.
I am still young and inexperienced in life but I am willing to learn and add my limited knowledge to those around me. I am vibrant, positive and focused in the tasks that are given, and able to work under pressure.

Duties:
Filing of Blood and X-ray results into the right patient files.
Managing the diary for the doctor’s and creating bookings thereof.
Verifying and Validation of medical aids with the use of GoodX.
Assisting patients with the booking of the specialist’s appointments and obtaining the authorisations for their procedures.
Adding the patients details onto the GoodX system efficiently.
Escorting patients to the nurse’s station, X-ray and Lancet facilities
